Essential information for our new Reception starters in September 2026
Welcome to Chandag Primary School, we are delighted that you have chosen us as your child’s school. The information on this page is designed to help provide you and your child with all the information that you will need to start school with confidence.
Please see this letter from Mrs Gurnsey our EYFS Lead, EYFS SENCO support and one of the Reception class teachers, welcoming you to our school and containing information about both our transition and induction procedures. Our New Starters 26 Booklet is full of useful information about starting school with us. A transition booklet full of pictures of the environment will come home with the children after their Stay and Play session. You can also find out about our school uniform requirements in your Starting School booklet.
In September, when you have completed your Essential Information Form, you will be able to register for the school’s online communication and payment system, My Child at School (MCAS).

The wider school community

Our onsite Wrap-around care is provided by Zest – please note this is run by Futura and not by the school. For all enquiries and bookings, please email them directly. Information can be found on their page on our website.
