Social, moral, spiritual and cultural development (SMSC)

At Chestnut Park, we take great pride in our approach to SMSC across the school, feeling that pupils should develop into tolerant, caring individuals with a social conscience. SMSC feeds into several areas of life at Chestnut Park  during assemblies; charity and community outreach projects; spirituality sessions; online safety and mental health awareness days.

We use our school values: Honesty, Empathy, Appreciation, Respect, Trust, to encourage children to reflect on the qualities they wish to embody.
