Homework

We ask parents/carers to support their child’s learning by completing all homework as set by the class teachers. This will help your child reach their full potential with their education and learning. If you have any questions or queries with regards to your child’s homework please do not hesitate to contact the class teacher.

Explorers Class

Parents are expected to read with their child at least three times a week. They should also try to practise their children’s phonics sounds and word bags, which contain common exception words, daily.

Parents are expected to do the following homework with their children:

Weekly spellings are given out on a Friday, there are expected to be completed by the following Friday.
Parents are expected to read with their child at least three times a week.
Termly homework books are sent out. They are sent out the first day back of a term and come back in the Thursday before we break up. The expectation is that all children complete at least 3 activities from the list provided.

Brunel Class

Parents are expected to do the following homework with their children:

Weekly spellings are given out on a Monday and will be check on the Friday.
Parents are expected to read with their children at least three times a week.
After October half term, children will begin to have weekly homework. This will be a short maths or English activity to complete based on the learning they have done in class. Homework will be set on a Monday and due in the following Monday.
