School Vision

School Vision

By June 2027, Yeo Moor Primary School will have continued to build on its strong culture of inclusivity so that every child feels a deep sense of belonging and is empowered by consistently high-quality teaching and an ambitious, inclusive curriculum. Pupils will achieve highly across the curriculum, academically, socially and emotionally, developing as confident writers, articulate speakers and successful learners. Pupils experiencing disadvantage and those with SEND will make strong progress and achieve in line with their peers within a caring community that champions every child to thrive.

The school will be recognised for excellence in oracy, with high-quality talk embedded across all aspects of school life and the curriculum. Pupils will communicate with confidence, listen respectfully and learn both through talk and about talk. The school will continue its journey towards becoming a Voice 21 Centre of Excellence, with oracy serving as a powerful driver of learning, inclusion and achievement.

The school will have a strong reputation for inclusion, nurture and trauma-informed practice. Families will continue to feel welcomed, valued and actively involved in their children’s education and pupils will be supported to flourish through strong partnerships between home and school. Pupils will access a rich range of opportunities that broaden horizons, build cultural capital and prepare them well for the next stage of their education and beyond.

In short, Yeo Moor Primary School will be a place where every child belongs, every child is supported to succeed and every child is enabled to flourish.

Welcome to our vision for Yeo Moor Primary School. This document sets out our aspirations for the school between 2025 and 2027. It reflects our commitment to providing an inclusive, ambitious and nurturing education that enables every child to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Our priorities have been carefully identified through self-evaluation, stakeholder feedback and analysis of pupil outcomes. They focus on three key areas: writing, pupils experiencing disadvantaged and oracy. Together, these priorities will help us ensure that all children, particularly those experiencing disadvantage and those with SEND, receive the very best opportunities to succeed.

Everything we do as a school is guided by this vision. Sometimes the link will be obvious, such as our work to improve writing outcomes or further embed oracy across the curriculum. At other times, the connection may be less immediately visible, for example when making decisions that support inclusion, wellbeing or belonging. Whatever the decision, our focus remains the same: ensuring every child feels valued, achieves highly and develops the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to thrive in school and beyond.

This vision has been shaped collaboratively by school leaders, governors, staff and the wider school community. We welcome conversations about our plans and are proud to share the journey we are taking together.
