Admissions arrangements:

Bridge Farm Primary School Reception Class admissions are part of the Bristol City Council Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme, so parents and carers can apply for a place, as one of their preferences, using the Bristol City Council Admissions form.

Admissions policies

If the number of applications exceeds the number of places, the schools applies oversubscription criteria, to ensure places are allocated fairly.

Reception class admissions

If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 you need to apply for a new reception school place to your home local authority. You need to apply by 15 January 2027.

You’ll need to register for an account on our (Bristol City Council) Parent Portal admissions system.

Before you apply:

Check your local authority area
If you live in Bristol and pay your council tax to Bristol City Council apply to us for a Bristol school reception place
If you live in Bristol and pay your council tax to Bristol City Council and you want to apply to a school in another local authority area you also need to apply to us
If your child has an education, health and care plan don’t apply to School Admissions, see apply for a key stage transfer school place for a child with an education, health and care (EHC) plan on our local offer site or email the Special Educational Needs Team – sen@bristol.gov.uk for how to apply

You must use your child’s legal name on the application.

Application deadlines:

Apply by 15 January 2027, offers of school places for on time applications will be sent on 17 April 2027. Late applications will be processed after the initial round of allocations is complete.

The final date and time for making limited changes to an existing application for the first round of allocations is midnight on 20 January 2027.

See change your reception place allocation. The second round of allocations will be in June of the year of application.

In-year admissions arrangements:

Bridge Farm Primary is part of the Futura Learning Partnership, which is the admissions authority for the school.

For all in year admissions, please apply directly to the school using our in-year application form.

Year 7 secondary applications

How to apply for a new year 7 secondary school place. If your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 you need to apply for a new year 7 secondary place. You must apply by 31 October 2026.

Apply online:

Apply online from 12 September 2026 for September 2026 admissions.

If you’re applying for a school place whilst outside the country you can’t apply online. You must fill in and return secondary application form. You can either fill in the form online and email it to school.admissions@bristol.gov.uk by 31 October 2027.

Other ways to apply:

Fill in and return secondary application form. The form will be available Monday 12 September.

Application deadlines:

Apply by 31 October 2027.

Offers of school places for on time applications will be sent on 1 March 2027.

Applications received after 31 October 2026 or changes to current applications after 4 November 2026 will be processed after the initial round of allocations has been completed in March 2026.

The second round of allocations will be in May 2027.
