Volunteer helpers are essential to the smooth running of some activities, especially those extra activities such as swimming and school trips that the children enjoy so much. The children benefit greatly from contact with a wide cross-section of our community and there are some activities that simply cannot go ahead if there are not enough volunteers to ensure safe numbers.

In the words of one helper, ‘who knows? You may even enjoy yourself!’

We appreciate that not everyone can help every week, so we welcome any offers of help, no matter how frequent. Whatever your preference, there’s a volunteering opportunity to suit you.

In addition to help in the classroom, we always appreciate help in the library, garden and pond area, to name a few areas. If you would like to come in and share a skill or interest, such as sewing, cooking or gardening, we would love to talk to you. This could be as a one-off session or to run a regular club.

Children also always enjoy hearing from people who come in to give a talk about their occupation. If you are a business that is looking for a link with a school then come and talk to us.
