Our community

At St John’s School in Keynsham, we are proud of our strong, caring community where everyone feels welcome, valued and supported. Our Christian values guide everything we do and are reflected in the respectful relationships we build with our pupils, families and the wider community.

We work closely with St John’s Church and take part in local events and charitable activities that help us stay connected to the heart of Keynsham. We actively encourage parents and carers to be involved in school life, as we believe working together enriches our children’s learning and wellbeing.

By nurturing kindness, inclusion and a sense of belonging, we help our pupils grow into confident, compassionate individuals who make a positive contribution to our school and beyond.

Governors

The Local Governance Committee of St John’s School is made up of a range of people from many different backgrounds, including representatives from St John’s Church (known as Foundation Governors), the local community, parents and staff. All governors are volunteers and they offer their time, skills and experience to help run the school.

PTA

The PTA (officially known as St John’s School Association) is open to parents, carers, staff and governors who are interested in the welfare of the children and their school.

We hold a number of fund-raising events throughout the year and meet every couple of months to plan and discuss events. We are always open to new members and anyone can join our meetings.
