Pauline Getter has received an ASDA 60th Birthday Diamond Award for making a positive impact on the Wansdyke Primary School community, where she works as a teaching assistant.
Brenda, who’s an ASDA Community Champion, presented Pauline with her award and had this to say:
“It was an honour to award one of my Asda 60th Birthday Diamond awards to a remarkable teaching assistant at Wansdyke Primary School. Pauline Getter has worked at the school for well over 20 years and goes above and beyond to support all pupils. Every year, she organises an Eggmobile School Challenge where classes create their design at Easter time. The designs have to be on wheels, such as skateboards, pushchairs, or roller skates. The Eggmobiles race each other, and all the school gets involved. The winners receive an Easter egg.
“Another fantastic achievement from Mrs Getter has been creating the Garden of Hope. This is a space on the school grounds where pupils who have lost a parent, sibling, grandparent or someone else close to them can go and sit quietly if they need to.
“Mrs Getter is a remarkable lady and fully deserves our Diamond Award.”
