The Futura Climate and Nature Strategy is a significant step in our commitment to addressing the urgent challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss.

We aim to be a national leader in the education sector in sustainability and climate change by 2030 by focusing on three key priorities:

Excellence in education and skills for a changing world: Preparing all pupils for a world impacted by climate change through learning and practical experience.
Net zero: Reducing direct and indirect emissions from Futura schools, driving innovation to meet legislative targets and providing opportunities for pupils to engage practically in the transition to net zero.
A better environment for the current and future generations: Enhancing biodiversity, improving air quality and increasing access to and connection with nature in and around our schools.

The strategy includes targeted actions to support immediate and long-term sustainability outcomes.
