Our School Uniform Requirements

Wellsway School requires all students in Years 7–11 to wear full school uniform at all times during the school day and when travelling to and from school.

Our uniform reflects our high standards and expectations. It promotes a smart, consistent appearance and allows students to represent the school with pride both within the local community and beyond. We aim for our uniform expectations to be clear, fair and consistently applied.

Why We Have a School Uniform

Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:

  • Promotes a sense of pride in being part of Wellsway School
  • Fosters a strong sense of community and belonging
  • Supports a focused learning environment by reducing distractions
  • Ensures students are dressed in practical, smart clothing suitable for school life
  • Encourages equality and provide good value for money for families

Uniform Expectations

Students must wear only the approved uniform styles as specified by the school. This ensures consistency and avoids ambiguity. Items that do not match the approved styles are not permitted.

Full details of required items, including acceptable styles and variations, can be found in the Uniform Policy and Acceptable trousers, shorts and shoes links below;
