30th March 2026 – Term 4 update

It’s been a wonderfully busy term in Holly Class! We’ve been crafting exciting story openings for our Year 2 audience, inspired by The Wild Robot on the Island and diving into the world of Ancient Egypt through our non‑fiction writing. The children have also created beautiful Andy Goldsworthy–inspired artwork for our upcoming exhibition and carried out a hands‑on science experiment to discover the best conditions for plant growth. Our History focused explorations of Ancient Egypt continued in Art, where hieroglyphics inspired some brilliant printing work. Even though French Day was a bit of a whirlwind, we still managed to squeeze in some vibrant Henri Matisse–style creations. We’ve also been focusing on consideration and kindness in our behaviour.
